Morneau Family Solutions has a wide range of services to offer. Practising as a family lawyer, David M. Morneau Jr. is also a collaborative legal professional and a mediator. He began practising in 1999 and was collaboratively trained in 2003.

David M. Morneau was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. In 1994 he attended the University of Windsor where he received his Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) with a major in Psychology. He later completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Windsor in 1997. He was called to the bar in Ontario in February 1999. Since being called to the bar, David has practised both criminal and family law. He now practises exclusively in the area of family law. Thus far, he has worked in every facet of law: parent’s counsel, contract counsel for the Children’s Aid Society, counsel for the Family Responsibility Office and agent for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer.

David is a sole practitioner who believes in the practice of family law using alternatives to litigation. His belief revolves around a more holistic and restorative approach, rather than the “traditional” adversarial system. He continues to represent children only in litigation cases, as he believes this helps putting things into perspective and pointing people in the right direction to start becoming emotionally healthy again.

David is a proud resident and promoter of the Waterloo Region. He has been involved with a number of local charitable organizations and is presently a Director on the board of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. He is a promoter and supporter of local athletics. He is a passionate baseball fan, which has led to other philanthropic endeavors. When not engaged in professional activities, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and watching baseball.
